The bit error rates of three 4 PAM eye patterns can be measured simultaneously. The MP1800A is the ideal platform for accurate BER measurements of 4 PAM signals using the long-memory programmable pattern function and error-mask function for filtering out unwanted errors.

With the ability to synchronize up to four MP1800A Signal Quality Analyzer units, only Anritsu supports the configuration of an ultra-high-speed transmission test system up to 1 Tbit/s with multi-channel synchronization signals, such as Quad DP-16QAM and Dual DP-64QAM.

The CLI-950 is a hand-held leak detection meter with the sensitivity and accuracy required to find and measure cable leaks. Its high resolution graphic LCD provides a simple user interface to make it ideal for every technician, from the novice to the expert.

With the growing implementation of digital carrier transmission, guarding against ingress becomes more important. Most cable systems are implementing processes that require the installer to certify the installation by checking for leaks at the end of the install. This will insure that there are no leaks, and this correlates to no ingress. The CLI-950 can also be used by dedicated leakage crews, and with leakage GPS tracking systems.

The operator tunes the CLI-950 to a video carrier in the 115 to 140 MHz frequency range. The alarm can be configured to trip when it detects the presence of an RF signal at the tuned frequency, and/or the presence of the optional tagging signal. The CLI-950 monitors/measures video carriers, and as such, it is not necessary to inject an additional RF signal in precious spectrum to make accurate leakage measurements.

The optional LT1000 Leakage Tagger modulates the video signal at user-programmable rates between 3 and 20 Hz to make certain that the detected leak is emanating from the network under test in overbuild situations. The distinctive tag signal improves detection sensitivity in noisy environments and curbs false alarms.

FINDS FAULTS AT LOWER TEST VOLTAGES: Ionization of the air surrounding the windings is necessary for detection of insulation weaknesses in a surge test. PREVENTS DETECTED FAULTS FROM WORSENING: Voltage is the equivalent of pressure causing currents of electrons to flow. Voltage (pressure) is necessary to detect weaknesses (current leaks) in the insulation of rotating equipment. Leakage current (the flow of electrons crossing a fault) should be kept as small as possible to prevent further deterioration of the insulation. The current is a function of the discharge capacitance of the instrument. The higher the capacitance the higher the current. The iTIG's discharge capacitance is very low at 0.02uF (20nF) per channel.

A Unique Approach to Testing Through EDFAs and Removing Autocorrelation Peaks

The FTB-5500B s unique technology allows for both the auto-correlation and cross-correlation to be known. Therefore, any spectral shape of source can be used. The auto-correlation peak is thus removed, and higher accuracy and resolution are obtained. PMD of 0 ps can be measured.
