Panasonic EY6450GQKW Review

Panasonic EY6450GQKW Review

Welcome to a Cordless Drill Battery specialist of the Panasonic Battery

The EY6450GQKW generates about average power and torque when compared to other 18V-class cordless drills. The average cordless drill in this class can generate up to 468 in-lbs of maximum torque.

This Panasonic cordless drill has about average speed with a max RPM comparable with standard 18V-class drills. The average cordless drill in this class runs at speeds up to 1584 RPM.

It is 22% heavier than average and ranks in the bottom 40% of 18V-class drills for higher weight. It weighs 1 lbs more than the average 4.7 lb cordless drill in this class and may increase operator fatigue.

This Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH) battery such as Panasonic NATIONAL EZ9001 Battery, Panasonic NATIONAL EZ9200 Battery, Panasonic NATIONAL EY9108 Battery, Panasonic NATIONAL PA-1204N Battery, Panasonic NATIONAL EZ3500 Battery, Panasonic NATIONAL EY3790 Battery, Panasonic NATIONAL EZ6600 Battery, Panasonic EY9136 Battery, Panasonic EY9220 Battery, Panasonic EZ3530 Battery, Panasonic EZ6930 Battery, Panasonic EYC132 Battery has a 60% higher than average run-time with an amp hour (Ah) rating that ranks in the top 20% of 18V-class drills. It has 1.3 Ah more capacity than the average 2.2 Ah battery in this class.

Panasonic's 1-year limited tool warranty is shorter than the cordless drill industry standard but is typical for many manufacturers. Shorter warranties can sometimes be an indicator of lower quality and reliability.

The Panasonic EY6450GQKW power-to-weight ratio is 22% lower than average and ranks in the bottom 40% of 18V-class drills. The P/W ratio is 22 lower than the 100 average ratio for this class drill.

This cordless drill is not equipped with a hammer function that can deliver several thousand impacts per minute. Hammer drill drivers are usually a little heavier and costlier, but they are effective on tougher jobs such as drilling into concrete.

Panasonic EY7450LR2S 18V Cordless Drill Driver

Panasonic EY7450LR2S 18V Cordless Drill Driver

Welcome to a Cordless Drill Battery specialist of the Panasonic Battery

We got a sneak preview of Panasonic EY7450LR2S 18V cordless drill driver at this year’s IBS Show in Vegas and were impressed by the company’s tough talk. Today, Panasonic announced the introduction of four of its new 18V Li-Ion cordless power tools. The new tools will be part of the company’s Tough IP line of professional-grade products. All feature IEC (International Electro Technical Commission) rated dust and water resistant technology and will be available this month. The four introduced models (which seem to be debuting overseas before they hit the US market) include a 1/2″ drill and driver kit, an impact wrench kit, an impact driver kit and a hammer drill/driver kit. All of the new 18V cordless models can be charged for use in 50 minutes with a full charge at 65 minutes, and feature Panasonic’s high capacity 3.3Ah Li-ion battery, LED work light, belt hook, and molded case.

Each of Panasonic Tough IP Cordless Power Tools With battery like Panasonic EY9239 Battery, Panasonic EY9086 Battery, Panasonic EY9182 Battery, Panasonic EY6780 Battery, Panasonic EY9230 Battery, Panasonic EY9226 Battery, Panasonic EY3793B Battery, Panasonic EY9227 Battery, Panasonic PA1562N Battery, Panasonic PA-1564N Battery, Panasonic NATIONAL EZ7000 Battery, Panasonic NATIONAL EZ9107 Battery were awarded a rating of IP561 by the IEC (according to IEC60529) classifying them “Dust-protected” and “Protected against powerful water jets.”

The IEC testing protocol put the tools in an environment where they were exposed separately to both heavy dust and water jets. After each separate test, the tool is checked to ensure it still continues to function properly. The IP56 rating, is the highest rating possible without the tools being air & water tight. The Tough IP line of tools are designed to provide construction professionals across a broad range of disciplines with tools that can withstand the rigors of outdoor work under extreme conditions.

Panasonic’s new EY7450LR2S 18V Li-ion Drill & Drill Driver Kit delivers high power in a compact, lightweight body. The combination drill/driver delivers a maximum of 478 in. lbs. of full time torque in low speed. Low speed of 50 – 430 rpm is ideal for tough jobs requiring high torque like drilling holes and driving large diameter screws. A high speed of 160 – 1,650 rpm is great for drilling and fastening in metal. The Panasonic EY7450LR2S features an all metal gear system and a four-brush motor. The use of metal gears for switching between high and low speed operation reduces part wear and offers superior durability compared to plastic gears, decreasing the frequency of tool repair. The four brush, fan cooled ventilated motor is design to keep tool running with a smooth continuous operation while keeping the motor temperature low, resulting in a tool well suited for heavy duty use and repetitive tasks. We were a little surprised that the tool wasn’t brushless, given the design specs and the price.

Driving the revolutionary performance of Panasonic’s Tough IP Cordless Power Tools is Panasonic’s proprietary battery pack technology which features:

•Panasonic’s Solid Solution Technology (PSS) – PSS is a method of hardening and dissolving key battery component substances such as cobalt and nickel, which dramatically improves safety and reliability, while also achieving greater performance compared to manganese lithium batteries found in many other cordless tools.
•High-Capacity Cobalt Lithium Chemistry – This chemistry offers the benefits of lower internal resistance, reduced electrical loss, and lower temperatures in the battery cells to deliver a longer battery life. Panasonic Li-ion battery packs have twice the total lifetime performance versus existing Ni-Cd battery packs.
•GuardION System – Panasonic Tough IP Cordless Power Tools utilize Panasonic’s unique GuardION system which monitors each battery cell during battery charging and during tool use to prevent over discharging and overheating of the battery pack.
•Self Diagnostic Charger – Tough IP Tools also feature a self diagnostic universal battery charger which electronically monitors the condition of the battery pack during the charging process to deliver full charging with minimal heat generation. The charger will charge all Panasonic Li-ion battery chemistries ranging from 14.4V – 28.8v.

Makita LXFD03 Cordless Drill

Makita LXFD03 Cordless Drill

Welcome to a Cordless Drill Battery specialist of the Bosch Battery

Makita is an industry-leading company that offers some of the best power tools on the market. This is especially true for the Makita LXFD03, which is the best cordless drill we reviewed. This power drill packs a punch with a high torque rate, multiple clutch settings and an 18-volt lithium-ion battery, which charges quickly. The drill is designed to withstand the harshest job sites or project conditions and has a decent warranty, protecting you against the cost of a new drill in the event of a tool malfunction. For these reasons and plenty more, the Makita LXFD03 earns our Top Ten Reviews Gold Award for best cordless drill.

The Makita LXFD03 packs quite the punch with battery like Bosch GDR 90 Battery, Bosch BAT001 Battery, Bosch B2220 Battery, Bosch BAT043 Battery, Bosch BAT045 Battery, Bosch PSR1440 Battery, Bosch BAT011 Battery, Bosch BH1214H Battery, Bosch PSR 120 Battery, Bosch BAT038 Battery, Bosch BAT040 Battery, Bosch BAT159 Battery, as it delivers 750 inch-pounds of torque at its maximum settings, which is the highest out of all the drills we reviewed. The drill uses a mechanical transmission that you can adjust to two different speed settings, depending on the function you want to perform. The low setting, 0-400 rates per minute (RPM), is designed for fastening screws, whereas the high-speed setting, 0-2,000 RPM, is designed to drill holes. The variable speed trigger allows you to control exactly how fast or slow the drill runs within the speed range.

The drill also has 21 clutch settings, which are perhaps the most misunderstood settings on cordless drills. The clutch is designed to disengage the drill from the drive train (in other words, to stop drilling) when it meets a certain level of resistance. This enables you to fasten two objects together without bottoming out or stripping the screw. The benefit of having 21 clutch settings on the Makita LXFD03 gives you precise control over how deep you insert a screw.

This cordless drill has a half-inch chuck, meaning it can use drill bits up to half an inch in diameter. You can drill holes up to 3 inches in diameter through wood or half an inch through metal, which is impressive.

This drill uses 18-volt lithium-ion batteries, which are known for long life and a fast charge rate compared to other battery chemistries. Indeed, the battery lasts days with heavy usage before needing a quick charge. With lighter use, the battery lasts weeks without a fresh charge. When the batteries do diminish, you pop them in the included battery charger and wait for only 30 minutes, which is the fastest recharge rate we have seen. The drill comes with two batteries that you can switch out when one battery dies. Unfortunately, the tool does not have an onboard battery meter or indicator of how much battery life is left on the charge.

The Makita LXFD03 is the best drill we reviewed because of its sheer power, long-life batteries and comfortable design. With 750 inch-pounds of torque and a maximum speed of 2,000 RPMs, you can perform a wide variety of applications with just one tool. The lithium-ion batteries last weeks on a single charge, and it only takes 30 minutes in the charger to get them to capacity. Overall, this power drill is the best because it performs nearly any function without issue.

Bosch DDS182 Power Drill

Bosch DDS182 Power Drill

Welcome to a Cordless Drill Battery specialist of the Bosch Battery

The Bosch DDS182 can reach speeds up to 1,700 RPMS, which isn't the best we've seen in a cordless drill but is still rather impressive. You can adjust the speed between two settings, which effectively changes the tool from a drill in the high-speed settings to a screwdriver in the low-speed setting. When you use the drill as a screwdriver, you can adjust the clutch to 18 settings to help avoid sinking a screw too far or stripping it altogether. This feature is particularly useful on finishing projects.

This drill can produce 442 inch-pounds of force, which is enough to power through most jobs. It can create 2-inch holes in wood and half-inch holes in metal. This drilling capacity is not the best we've seen, but it is still pretty impressive.

This power drill with battery such as Bosch 2607335268 Battery, Bosch BAT030 Battery, Bosch BAT299 Battery, Bosch GSA24V Battery, Bosch ART 26 Battery, Bosch BAT048 Battery, Bosch BH-984 Battery, Bosch BPT1041 Battery, Bosch EXACT 9 Battery, Bosch PSR 960 Battery, Bosch GSR 9.6V Battery, Bosch EXACT 1100 Battery features an ergonomic design, which is popular among cordless tools. Drills with ergonomic designs are light and balance the weight both above and below the grip. This design helps you avoid unnecessary stress or injury. The drill uses a half-inch keyless chuck, which is a convenient design feature, as you don't have to worry about misplacing and replacing a key. A bright LED illuminates the space in front of you, which helps greatly in low-light settings. You can attach a bit holder to the tool, so you can carry multiple bits with you on the tool itself.

The Bosch DDS182 comes with two 18-volt batteries that use lithium-ion technology, which makes them lightweight, long-lived and just as powerful as other batteries. Because you get two batteries, you never have to worry about pausing a project due to dead batteries, as you can charge one while you use the other. Unfortunately, it takes a full hour to charge the batteries, which is rather long compared to other cordless drills we reviewed.

Bosch offers a one-year warranty on the drill and the batteries, which is the shortest warranty combination we have seen. The warranty protects you against defects due to material or workmanship, which is the industry standard. If you have any questions about the drill, you can contact the company via email or the phone. You can also check out a FAQs section or the online user manual to help answer any questions you have.

The Bosch DDS182 is a reliable drill that has a decent amount of power and an ergonomic design. The drill comes with two great batteries, but they take a full hour to charge completely. Bosch only includes a one-year warranty on the drill and batteries, which is the shortest out of all the drills we reviewed. Overall, though, this power drill is reliable and capable of handling most jobs without issue.

Hitachi DS18DSAL Review

Hitachi DS18DSAL Review

Welcome to a Cordless Drill Battery specialist of the HITACHI Battery

This cordless drill combines speed with power, as it is capable of reaching 1,800 RPMs and can produce a maximum 460 inch-pounds of turning force. This combination makes the Hitachi DS18DSAL rather versatile as a drill and screwdriver, and the two speed settings allow you to switch between the two functions without issue. The high setting is ideal for drill applications, and the low setting is used for driving screws. The Hitachi DS18DSAL with battery like HITACHI EB14B Battery, HITACHI EB 14S Battery, HITACHI EB 1412 Battery, HITACHI EB 1426 Battery, HITACHI EB 1430 Battery, HITACHI HH-1444 Battery, HITACHI UB 18D Battery, HITACHI DVF Battery, HITACHI EB1430H Battery, HITACHI EB 914 Battery, HITACHI UB 5D Battery, HITACHI FEB 9S Battery also has 22 clutch settings that you can use in the low speed setting to help you avoid driving screws too far into your material.

This drill is capable of creating holes in metal that are half an inch in diameter, which is good for a cordless drill. However, it can only create 1.75-inch holes in wood, which is on the lower end of the spectrum.

The Hitachi DS18DSAL utilizes 18-volt lithium-ion batteries, which are well known across the industry for being lightweight, long-lived and powerful. This drill comes with two batteries, so you can switch them out quickly if the drill runs out of juice. In the event that both batteries need charging, you only have to wait 40 minutes for a full charge. Unfortunately, the drill does not include a battery meter, or charge indicator, to show you how much charge is left on the battery.

Hitachi has the best tool warranty compared to any other cordless drill we reviewed. The lifetime lithium-ion tool warranty protects you from any defect in material or workmanship from the purchase date. Hitachi also offers a two-year warranty on the batteries. However, both warranties are void if you try to repair or alter the tool yourself, if any issue is the result of normal wear and tear, or if a defect appears from tool abuse.

If you have any questions concerning the drill, you can contact Hitachi via email, but not over the phone. You can also check out the online user manuals if you misplace the physical copy included with the drill. The company's website does not currently offer a FAQs section, but it states that one is coming soon.

The Hitachi DS18DSAL is one of the best cordless drills we reviewed. The drill can reach up to 1,800 RPMs, which is impressive, and can punch 460 inch-pounds of turning force. With two speed settings and 22 clutch settings, this Hitachi drill is rather versatile. Unfortunately, it has a low capacity for drilling holes into wood. However, it has the best tool warranty out of all the cordless drills we reviewed. Overall, the Hitachi DS18DSAL is a solid drill that you can use for a variety of projects and jobs.

The DeWalt DW130V 9 Amp Drill

The DeWalt DW130V 9 Amp Drill

Welcome to a Cordless Drill Battery specialist of the Dewalt Battery

The DeWalt DW130V 9 Amp 1/2-Inch Drill with Spade Handle is a high-torque power drill ideal for tough tasks that typically burn out the motors of smaller battery-powered drills. Do you need a drill capable of mixing liquid concrete? What about a drill that can cut a hole through steel without breaking a sweat? This is a drill that has no problem completing those tasks and many, many more.

The primary feature of this drill with battery such as Dewalt DE9038 Battery, Dewalt DE9502 Battery, Dewalt DW9094 Battery, Dewalt DW9091 Battery, Dewalt DW985 Battery, Dewalt DC528 Battery, Dewalt DW906 Battery, Dewalt DC985VA Battery, Dewalt DW918 Battery, Dewalt Q129 Battery, Dewalt PS1200K Battery, Dewalt PS3500 Battery is the amazing 9 amp, 120 volt motor that simply refuses to quit. The motor makes it possible to mix extremely viscous liquids with ease — and with adjustable side and spade handles, you’re going to have no trouble keeping a firm grip when drilling at any angle.

What Makes a Drill Good?

When buying a power drill, the most important aspect to consider is whether the drill’s speed and torque match the requirements of the job. If you’re using a drill to drive screws through something soft such as wood, you can use a high-speed drill with low torque. A high-torque drill such as the DW130V works well for drilling through materials such as metal or for mixing concrete.

If you already own the drill bits that you’d like to use, you’ll need to purchase a drill with a matching chuck. The DW130V has a locking chuck that accepts 1/2″ drill bits. Because the chuck requires a key to release drill bits, changing bits can be a little slower than with some other drills. However, the locking chuck is ideal for high-torque tasks.

Safety Features

With any power drill, a secure grip is the most important safety feature. Depending on the task you’re performing, you may need to drill in a variety of different directions. If you can’t hold the drill securely, the torque could actually cause it to wiggle out of your hand. The DeWalt DW130V drill has a pistol grip, a spade grip and a side grip. You can even adjust the side and spade grips to suit your preferences. You’ll have no trouble holding this drill with two hands while drilling in any direction.

The light weight of this drill — 7.5 pounds — is also a safety feature because it means that you’ll be able to work longer before fatigue sets in. The manageable weight and strong, soft grips help to ensure that you won’t lose control of the drill if you encounter a sudden change in resistance.

Ryobi P817 Review

Ryobi P817 Review

Welcome to a Cordless Drill Battery specialist of the RYOBI Battery

The P816 allows you to switch between two speed settings. The high setting can reach up to 1,600 RPMs, and the low setting reaches 440 RPMs. This drill doesn't have the highest RPMs we have seen, but it is still pretty good. While in the low setting, which effectively turns the drill into a screwdriver, you can adjust the clutch to one of 24 positions, which allows you to drive a screw to various depths without damaging the material or the screw. This power drill produces 340 inch-pounds of turning force, or torque, which isn't very much, but it can still power through many tasks.

This drill uses 18-volt batteries such as RYOBI ABP1803 Battery, RYOBI ABP1804 Battery, RYOBI BPL1820 Battery, RYOBI P100 Battery, RYOBI P2600 Battery, RYOBI P3300 Battery, RYOBI HILTI SFB 126 Battery, RYOBI HILTI SBP-12 Battery, RYOBI Milwaukee 0522-20 Battery, RYOBI Milwaukee 0622-20 Battery, RYOBI Milwaukee 6310-22 Battery, RYOBI Milwaukee PSH-18 Battery, but unlike many other drills we reviewed, you can use both lithium-ion and nickel-cadmium batteries. Lithium-ion batteries are lightweight and compact, and they produce the same level of power as other battery technologies. The Ryobi P817 compact lithium-ion battery is not only useful with your drill, but with every Ryobi ONE+ product, which is convenient if you have a few Ryobi power tools. The drill comes with two batteries, which means you can charge one while you use the other. Unfortunately, it takes a full hour to charge completely.

Like the best power drills, this tool uses a half-inch keyless chuck, which is incredibly convenient. With a keyless chuck, you fasten the bits to the drill by hand rather than using a key, which is easy to misplace. Additionally, a magnetic holder on the P816 conveniently holds screws and drill bits for future use.

The Ryobi P816 has a top-mounted bubble level for accurate drilling, which is really convenient. It also has an LED that illuminates your workspace when you start drilling. Because of this light and the drill's compact size, you should be able to drill holes in even the tightest spots. It only weighs 2.7 pounds, so arm fatigue should be minimal as well.

All Ryobi tools, including the Ryobi P817, are backed by a 30-day satisfaction guarantee and three-year warranty. In case you need help, Ryobi has a detailed website with product news, part replacement information, social media contacts, standard contact information and downloadable user guides.

The Ryobi P817 is a cordless drill worth taking a look at, even if it isn't the best drill on our lineup. It has the power, convenience and features you'd find on the most expensive drills available on the market, at a much cheaper price point. Unfortunately, this cordless drill only reaches average speeds, so it doesn't drill holes as easily as other drills. It also produces a low amount of torque, meaning the drill isn't very powerful and has trouble with large screws. However, the drill is compact, has a built-in bubble level and uses interchangeable lithium-ion batteries, which makes it worth your consideration for a household drill.

Fujifilm X-T2 Review

Fujifilm X-T2 Review

Welcome to a Biomedical Battery specialist of the Led Video Camera Light

The Fujifilm X-T2 is an updated version of the company's top-level DSLR-shaped APS-C camera. It's built around the same 24MP X-Trans sensor as the X-Pro2 but ends up being much more than an X-T1 with more pixels. Instead, the X-T2 is a camera that does much to address the X-System's remaining weaknesses, which can only broaden its already considerable appeal.

Fujifilm X-T2 Key Features:
•24MP X-Trans CMOS III sensor
•325 AF points (169 of which offer phase detection)
•AF point selection joystick
•With led light such as Digital LED RF550 Video Camera Light, Digital LED-VL003 Video Camera Light, Digital LED-160A Video Camera Light, Digital LED-187A Video Camera Light, Digital LED-VL002B Video Camera Light, Digital LED-VL001B Video Camera Light
•2.36M-dot OLED EVF with 0.005 sec refresh time (60 fps or 100 fps in boost mode)
•3" 1.04M-dot articulating LCD
•4K UHD video at up to 30 fps for up to 10 min (30 min with booster grip)
•F-Log flat profile and 4K out over HDMI
•8 fps continuous shooting with AF (11 fps with booster grip)
•5 fps continuous shooting with live view updates between capture
•14 fps continuous shooting with electronic shutter
•Dual SD card slots (UHS-II compatible)
•USB 3.0 socket

The X-Pro2 represented a good step forward for image quality within the system and the X-T2 gains all of that improvement, but there are also some considerable changes in terms of autofocus, video and flash control, suggesting Fujifilm wants its the X-T2 to be an all-round more capable camera than its predecessor, rather than just building on its existing strengths.

The body seems broadly unchanged at first glance but there's a clever doubly-hinged flip-out screen that seems to offer many of the flexibility advantages of a fully articulated monitor while retaining the more compact form of a tilting screen.

There's also a Performance Boost mode that speeds up several aspects of the camera's behavior (at the expense of some battery life), but that really comes into its own when the optional 'Power Boost Vertical Grip' is added. None of these additions comes for free, though: at $1599, body only, the X-T2's launch price has jumped $300, compared to its predecessors'.

Sony VAIO Pro 11 SVP11215PXB

Sony VAIO Pro 11 SVP11215PXB

Welcome to a Laptep Adapter specialist of the Sony Ac Adapter

Billed as the world's lightest touch-enabled ultrabook, the Sony VAIO Pro 11 (SVP11215PXB) packs Core i7 power, ten-point touch technology, and a stunning high-resolution display into a sleek 11-inch ultrabook chassis. At $1,500 the Pro 11 with adapter such as Sony PCG-FR150 AC adapter, Sony VGN-FZ AC adapter, Sony VGN-FS AC adapter, Sony VGN-FW518 AC adapter, Sony VGN-FW550 AC adapter, Sony VGN-Z880 AC adapter, Sony VPC-W121 AC adapter, Sony PCG-FX AC adapter, Sony PCG-R505 AC adapter, Sony PCG-Z505 AC adapter, Sony VGN-C290 AC adapter, Sony VGN-FE690 AC adapter is priced a little high considering it uses integrated graphics and comes with a single solid-state drive. But if style and portability are a priority, it's a good bet. That said, its battery life is well shy of what we've seen from other ultrabooks, and I/O ports are scarce.

The Pro 11's Core i7-4500u CPU is part of Intel's new Haswell line. It boasts a core speed of 1.8GHz with a maximum speed of 2.39GHz and uses the new HD 4400 graphics circuitry. Armed with the new Haswell architecture and 4GB of system memory, the Pro 11 turned in a PCMark 7 score of 4,609, which trailed the Asus UX51VZ-DH71 by more than 300 points and the Toshiba Kirabook by more than 600 points. It should be noted that the Toshiba Kirabook had 8GB of memory and the Asus UX51VZ-DH71 used dual SSD's configured for RAID.

On our Cinebench R11.5 CPU test, the Pro 11's score of 2.46 lagged the field, which included the Asus UX51VZ-DH71 (5.60), the Toshiba Kirabook (2.92), and the Apple MacBook Pro 13-Inch (Retina Display)(2.83).

Results from our Handbrake and Photoshop multimedia tests were similar; the Pro 11 finished last on the Handbrake encoding test but managed to squeak past the Toshiba Kirabook on the Photoshop test.

Intel's new HD 4400 GPU showed slight improvement over its predecessor, the HD 4000, but not surprisingly, it still can't compete with a discrete graphics solution like the Nvidia GeForce GT 650M. It scored 19 fps on our Alien vs. Predator test at mid-quality, edging out the Toshiba Kirabook by 5 fps. Both systems managed only 5 fps on the high-quality test. The Asus UX51VZ-DH71, with the help of its Nvidia GT 650M card, scored 43 fps at mid-quality and 17 fps at high-quality.

Likewise, the Pro 11 scored 13 fps (mid-quality) and 4 fps (high quality) on our Heaven benchmark tests, beating the Toshiba Kirabook by a single frame on both, but the Asus UX51VZ-DH71 blew them both away with scores of 32 fps and 13 fps, respectively.

Battery life was disappointing; the Pro 11's sealed 4125mAh battery lasted 4 hours 21 minutes on our battery rundown test. Although that beat the Asus UX51VZ-DH71 by around 20 minutes, it pales in comparison to the 7-plus hours we got from the Apple MacBook Pro 13-Inch (Retina Display) and the Toshiba Kirabook's time of 5:50.

Sony has always been big on style, and the VAIO Pro 11 is no exception. It's thin and light carbon fiber body will fit comfortably into a briefcase, carry bag, or backpack, and will withstand the rigors of frequent travel. It's powerful enough for all but the most demanding graphics workload, and its 1080P touch-screen display is a pleasure to use and a beauty to behold. That said, the Macbook Pro 13-Inch (Retina Display) maintains its edge, thanks to its incredible 2,560-by-1,600 display and seven-hour battery life, which is why it remains our Editors' Choice for high-end ultrportables. Our high-end ultrabook Editors' Choice is the Asus Zenbook Prime Touch UX31A-BHI5T ($1,199), and if you can handle the extra pound and a quarter, the UX31A-BH15T is a better buy overall with over six hours of battery life.
