The Press-Mate Prodigy II® Portable Vital Signs Monitors, with Dynamic Linear Cuff Deflation technology deflates smoothly, is controlled by the pulse rate and measures the pressure at every pulse - all the way down. So, the readings are actual systolic, mean, and diastolic blood pressures for that patient rather than an estimate based on predetermined deflation break-points or steps (as is the case with other monitors). This unique technology is especially appropriate for patients who are hyper- or hypotensive or in patients who have arrhythmia.
Large, colorful LED readouts in parameter-specific colors make reading the blood pressure (yellow), SpO2 (red), and temperature (green) especially easy, even from across the room, and help avoid data confusion and documentation errors.
And now, for the first time, you can scan or key-in the patient's ID, so the data in memory and on any of the available recording strips is identified with a specific patient to help reduce documentation errors. Or, with the push of a button, you can scroll through a patient's vital signs history for trends or for additional information.
The Press-Mate Prodigy II monitor lets you switch from a spot check mode to physician-prescribed cuff interval protocols with the push of a button. Now you can enter up to 5 user-designed cuff interval programs to suit your specific therapeutic needs, no matter how complicated they are, without cumbersome resetting. This type of flexibility makes the Press-Mate Prodigy II ideal for post-op patients. Smart Inflation™ RS-232 Bi-directional Communications Port Easy to learn and easy to use!
The Smart Inflation increases patient comfort by monitoring the blood pressure during inflation, and stopping when necessary - not to a preset pressure. The inflation pressure will customize itself to each patient's individual requirements. Other monitors typically inflate to 180 mmHg and then deflate, which can be very uncomfortable the patient may become agitated or require a new test.
Now you can interface external devices to the Prodigy II and transfer the last measurement, or command it to send all of the measurements in memory. This port opens the possibility to automatically record and update patients™ records with your main server. Having the ability to connect the Prodigy II to your internal systems can increase the accuracy of measurements and save valuable staff time. Strict adherence to convention and a straightforward, logical LCD menu make simple work of even sophisticated cuff interval protocols.
You can adjust alarm limits manually or have the monitor set patient-specific limits automatically. You can control pulse and alarm volume, select routine cuff intervals, and modify system and printer settings quickly and easily — with the push of a few buttons.
The unique two-plane design means no more changing the angle of the monitor or bending down to see vital information. Whether you're reading vital signs from across the room or entering a patient's ID on the LCD, the information is always in clear view.
The 6-hour battery and 400 line-list memory combine to give you peace of mind. The Press-Mate Prodigy II offers extended battery capacity which assures that you can make your rounds without running out of power or losing vital signs data. The battery recharges automatically whenever the unit is plugged into an AC outlet and recharges from completely discharged to fully charged in less than 4 hours. Battery power indicators show the battery status during both the charging process and while the unit is in use. The data is saved even when the monitor is turned off during normal use.
